The ASEAN Committee in Canberra (ACC) held its annual ASEAN Family Day on 23 November 2019 at Lennox Garden, Canberra. The event brings together personnel and families of ASEAN Missions in Canberra for a social gathering and end-of-year celebration.
The programme started with a warm up of Zumba dance led by a representative from the Philippine Embassy. The Heads of Missions then played a friendly game of water ping-pong while children enjoyed playing musical chairs, pen in a bottle and a ping-pong ball game. Children were also happy to receive goodie bags prepared by all ACC Missions.
ACC Heads of Mission enjoyed a morning picnic and shared their cuisines. Malaysia showcased and shared the delicious laksa johor and teh tarik. A friendly game of tug-of-war capped off the morning event.
