The 14th. Malaysia-Australia JTC is scheduled to be held between 6-7 October 2008 in Kuala Lumpur. The Australian delegation will be led by the Hon. Simon Crean, MP - Minister for Trade and senior officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The last JTC was held in Adelaide, Australia in 2006.
The forthcoming JTC in Kuala Lumpur is seen as a timely and catalyst to invigorate the Malaysia-Australia FTA negotiations after the conclusion of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand FTA negotations last month.
