High Commissioner Dato’ Sudha Devi hosted the 62nd National Day Reception at Rumah Malaysia on 19 September 2019. It was attended by approximately 300 guests comprising Heads of Mission and members of the diplomatic corps, officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as well as representatives of government ministries/agencies, members of the business community, religious leaders as well as student leaders.
Ms. Kate Logan, Chief of Protocol presented the toast on behalf of the Australia’s Government. Her Excellency Dato’ Sudha in her remarks reflected on the significance of Merdeka and highlighted the main areas of cooperation in Malaysia-Australia relations. Guests enjoyed Malaysian delicacies such as rendang, satay, nasi minyak and kuih-muih while chatting with one another.
