"PROGRAM BERSAMA RAKYAT" - Malaysian Community and Malaysian Expatriates in Adelaide, South Australia

Under "Program Bersama Rakyat", Malaysian Acting High Commissioner and Malaysian Honorary Consul of South Australia co-hosted a working dinner in Adelaide, South Australia on 5 October 2008.  The guests of honour to the dinner were Lt. Governor of South Australia; and Lord Mayor, City of Adelaide.

The briefing and Q&A session on bilateral relations and brain gain initiative during the dinner were conducted by Acting High Commissioner and Prof. Dr. Tan Hock Lim, a distinguished Professor & Paediatric Surgeon, UKM.  

 

The working dinner included a briefing session which was conducted by the Malaysian Acting High Commissioner and Professor Tan Hock Lim, distinguished Professor & Paediatric Surgeon, UKM.    With the support of Professor Tan, who was on a private trip to Adelaide – a session of Q&A was held in the efforts to lure home Malaysian expatriates under Malaysia’s brain gain initiative. 

The session was also attended by Mr. Hieu Van Le, Lt. Governor of South Australia, Mr. Michael Harbison and wife, Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, City of Adelaide, Mr. George Chin, the outgoing President of Chinatown Adelaide, South Australia (ex-Sabahan), the incoming President, Ms. Cathy Chong (ex-Malaccan) and approximately 50 Malaysian expatriates in Adelaide.
