High Commissioner Dato’ Sudha Devi attended the Remembrance Day held at the Australian War Memorial on 11 November 2019. The Remembrance Day was held every year on 11 November, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. The ceremony is attended by many high-level dignitaries, diplomats, school students, as well as thousands of members of the general public.
The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) delivered the Commemorative address, where he highlighted the service and sacrifice of soldiers for the nation, as well as expressed his appreciation and gratefulness in remembrance of those men. The ceremony also includes a formal wreath laying.
