10.1 APPLICATION FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT (CGC)

 

CGC applications may only be made online via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia e-Konsular portal. The security vetting will be conducted by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and, depending on your case, it may take between ten to sixty (10-60) days before the approval is granted.

Quick Info.:

i. The Consulate is not authorised to make a CGC application on behalf of anyone.

ii. The Consulate is not authorised to make amendments on the CGC.

iii. The passport must be current with at least six (6) months validity for the CGC application.

 

 

10.2 COLLECTION OF THE CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT (CGC)

 

OPTION 1: Online Payment, Download & Self Print Out of the CGC.

 

* Starting 01 March 2025, once the CGC application has been approved, you may download a digital CGC from the e-Konsular portal and print it out at your convenience subject to the followings:

 

a) Online payment has been made via the e-Konsular portal.

b) Download the digital CGC within seven (7) days after the online payment has been made.

c) After seven (7) days, the digital CGC will no longer be available for you to download.

 

OPTION 2: Payment & Collection of the CGC from the Consulate.

Payment & collection of the CGC from the Consulate is via POSTAL SERVICE ONLY (NO COUNTER SERVICE). Once the CGC application has been approved kindly post the following items to the Consulate:

 

1. Approval Slip for Certificate or Your CGC Application Result.

2. Your telephone number & e-mail address.

3. Aud10.00 per certificate by postal money order / bank’s cheque payable to the Consulate (online bank transfers & personal cheques are not acceptable)

4. Self-addressed, postage-paid envelope for the Consulate to post the CGC to you (preferably express / registered post, small to medium size)
