On 13 April 2026, the Consulate General of Malaysia conducted monitoring visits to selected halal establishments in Victoria, coordinated by the Halal Attaché Office in Canberra. These visits aimed to verify that Malaysia-listed halal meat establishments in Australia comply with Malaysian Standards (MS), the Malaysian Protocol for Halal Meat and Poultry Production, and export requirements. The primary objective was to ensure that all approved facilities uphold full compliance across the entire production process.
