49TH ASEAN DAY CELEBRATION

The ASEAN Consulate Corps in Perth celebrated the 49th ASEAN Day by hosting a small reception at the Multipurpose Hall of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was graced by the presence of local Members of Parliament representing the State Government and the Opposition along with officials from the Government side. The Malaysian delegation was comprised of Consulate staff, Malaysian businessmen and professionals as well as students.
In line with the tradition, the celebration kicked-off with flag hoisting ceremony followed by some remarks from the VIPs. The invitees were then entertained by cultural performances by four ASEAN countries including Malaysia before being served with sumptuous ASEAN delicacies.
