ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE CONSULAR CORPS OF WA

20 OCTOBER 2022

The Consular Corps of Western Australia Inc. had its Annual General Meeting on      20 October 2022 at The Celtic Club in West Perth. The Consul-General of Malaysia, took over the role as Dean from his Japanese counterpart, made an opening remarks followed by a brief presentation on activities carried out by the Consular Corps throughout the term 2021/2022 by the Deputy Dean. The activities conducted include the social interactions with Governor and Premier of WA, World of Food Festival event in November last year and the celebration of the International Women’s Day in March 2022, to name a few. The meeting also elected a new member, Honorary Consul for Sweden as she joins the Honorary Consul for Colombia and the Honorary Consul for Slovak for the General Committee while the Honorary Consuls of South Africa, Estonia and Uruguay retained their respective post unopposed as Deputy Dean, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. The meeting noted its sincere appreciation to the past committee members and look forward to working closely with the newly appointed members.
