ASEAN SEAmposium 2017

Malaysia, as the Chair of the ASEAN Consular Corps in Western Australia had organised a special programme called ASEAN SEAmposium 2017 on 17 September 2017 at the Fox Lecture Hall, University of Western Australia. It was the second time the ASEAN Consular Corps had given the honour to Malaysia to lead the organisation of such programme where students from ASEAN countries were invited to speak on topic of common interest on ASEAN.
Seven students from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Viet Nam spoke on ‘’ASEAN Community : What Does It Mean To Us?’’ where the session was moderated by Stewart Palmer, President of Australia - Indonesia Youth Association (WA Chapter). More than 80 participants, predominantly ASEAN students, attended the symposium including the Consuls-General of Malaysia and Indonesia as well as representative from the Consulate-General of Viet Nam.
