The Association of Malaysians in Western Australia (AMWA) had once again organised Deepavali gathering on 11 November 2017 where the event was attended by 120 guests including Hon. Yaz Maburakai, MLA representing the State Government. All VIPs - the President of AMWA, Hon Yaz Maburakai and the Consul-General of Malaysia spoke in similar breath by stressing the importance of unity among Malaysian diaspora abroad. It was a fun-filled evening with lots of dancing and continuous chatting among the guests and more importantly showcasing muhibbah spirit among Malaysians in Perth
