IMPLEMENTATION OF ELECTRONIC VISA (eVISA) FOR CHINESE AND INDIAN PASSPORT HOLDERS
Starting from 1st November 2016, Chinese and Indian passport holders in Australia and Oceania countries could now apply visa online (eVISA) through www.windowmalaysia.my which is processed by the Consulate General of Malaysia in Melbourne, Victoria.
The eVISA will be a Single Entry Visa for tourism purposes only with the maximum length of stay for 30 days from the date of arrival in Malaysia. It is valid for 3 months from the date of approval and must be used before it expires. It is advisable to apply two weeks before the proposed travel date. The application will be approved within 24 hours during working days.
Those who require to apply for Visa With Reference (for Employment Pass, Dependent Pass, Student Pass or Professional Visit Pass) or a Multiple Entry Visa are still required to submit their visa applications to the Malaysian High Commission/Embassy or Consulate General in their respective country of residence.
