KAAMATAN FESTIVAL IN PERTH
16 APRIL 2016
The Harvest Festival or better known as Tadau Kaamatan among the peoples in Sabah was celebrated early this year by the Sabah community in Perth. The celebration was very much alive with a real showcases of cultures, traditional Kadazandusun crafts and of course the fascinating traditional local foods. It was held at the Charles Riley Hall in North Beach.
More than 100 people attended the festival which was seen as a vital platform and venue for fostering, preserving and propagating harmony and unity through diversity for the multi-ethnic, multi-racial population in Sabah, in particular, and in Malaysia in general.
