MEETING WITH THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF AMWA
The Consulate-General of Malaysia had its first meeting with the Association of Malaysians in Western Australia (AMWA) on 26 March 2016 to discuss the future direction and cooperation between the two entities under the newly appointed Consul-General who assumed his duty in February 2016.
The ‘’working luncheon’’ explored several ways and proposals on how the existing cooperation could be deepened and strengthened. A number of proposals were agreed in principle and the Consul-General was invited to attend AMWA’s Monthly Meeting in April to present and explain his aspirations, ideas and set the tone for future cooperation between the Consulate and AMWA. Also in attendance were the two Vice-Consuls (Admin & Finance as well as Immigration). AMWA was led by Mr. Raymond Cheong, its President.
