SPRING EATS MINI FOOD FAIR

The Sports & Welfare Club of the Consulate-General of Malaysia had organised a food bazaar called Spring Eats Mini Food Fair on 12 November 2017 where eight stalls were set up offering a wide variety of Malaysia’s all-time favourites like nasi lemak, roti jala, mee rebus, laksa, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, to name a few. It was estimated that about 250 fellow Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike flocked the venue on that day. We received a surprise visit by Datin Seri Umie Aida who happened to be in Perth and was taken to the venue by Makan Angin Perth, a local Malaysian-owned tour company in Perth. The company had also brought Jarryd West, a local busker who contested in X-Factor Australia to entertain the guests with his rendition of chart topping songs. The presence of both had certainly added to the merriment of the event.
