WORLD OF FOOD FESTIVAL 2016

Malaysia once again participated in this year’s World of Food Festival which event was organised by the Consular Corps in Western Australia in collaboration with the Governor’s Office. The event was held at the beautiful Government House’s garden on 13 November 2016 from 11am to 3pm. It was officiated by Her Excellency Kerry Sanderson AO, Governor of Western Australia.
A total of 26 countries participated in the festival offering various foods from all corners of the globe. Malaysia’s stall was operated by D’Nyonya Restaurant which offered Malaysia’s all-time favourites such as char kueteow, apam balik, satay and coconut shake. Malaysia, through a local dance troupe - Cempakasari - put up an entertaining 7-minute dance performance showcasing zapin, inang and dikir barat much to the amusement of the audience.
