HRH Premier issues directives to complete the projects
 
HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Premier presided over the regular weekly Cabinet meeting in Gudaibiya Palace, yesterday. At the meeting, The PM offered his condolences to the Saudi Monarch, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi people on the demise of the late Saudi Deputy Premier HRH Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Later, The Cabinet reviewed executive summary of some governmental projects and expenditures from financial public budgetary allocations. HRH the Prime Minister issued instructions for compliance when implementing public projects in accordance with time charts and plans contained in the government action plan. The Cabinet also discussed financial policies for preparation and allocation of estimated budgetary allocation for the years 2012-2014 and 2015-2016.
Bahrain slams Iranian diplomat’s statement.
The statements of the former Iranian Ambassador to France Sadiq Kharazai which was reported by Fars News Agency (FNA) was strongly condemned yesterday by the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Regional and GCC Affairs Mr. Hamad bin Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Amer as undermining the sovereignty of Bahrain. The statement was described as a transgression of the rules of diplomatic work, a breach of the diplomatic etiquette and a sign of political recklessness from the Iranian part.

Tamkeen to empower Bahraini businesswomen.
 
Tamkeen (Labor Fund) yesterday revealed its plans and programs which are dedicated to empower Bahraini women to achieve their potential and increase their contribution to economic development, in line with Vision 2030. During a ceremony marking the 12th anniversary of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society with the attendance of more than 150 Bahrain-based businesswomen, Tamkeen gave delivered several speeches and presentations by and most inspirational of them was Tamkeen Chief Executive Mahmood Hashem Al-Kooheji’s speech and a presentation delivered by Mr. Ammar Awachi which unveiled about various support programs by the authority designed to enable Bahrainis and enterprises within the private sector.
 
    IV.            Social, Culture, Tourism:
HRH Princess Sabeeka to patronise a key Women’s Forum.
 
Under the auspices of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, a two-day key forum promoting women’s human rights will open tomorrow at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa. The council is holding the event in cooperation with the Arab Women Organisation (AWO). The second edition of the promotional forum will be put under the slogan “Woman’s human rights: Shining Marks in the Arab Judicial Rulings”. The symposium will highlight landmark judicial verdicts which promoted legal protection for women’s rights in the Arab countries. Experts and specialists from Jordan, the UAE, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Yemen and other Arab countries will outline their respective countries’ experiences.
 
Muharraq Grand Park is to undergo a major revamp.
 
The Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs signed yesterday a contract with the project developer Mr. Fuad Hassan Shuwaiter. Undersecretary for municipal and urban planning affairs Dr. Nabeel Abulfateh sealed the thirty-year exploitation deal with Mr. Shuwaiter, in the presence of senior officials and Muharraq municipal councilors.

* HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa yesterday offered Bahrain’s condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the demise of Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister HRH Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
