HH Amir of Kuwait receives HH Shaikh Mubarak.
His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa at Albayan Palace in Kuwait. HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak conveyed to the Amir of Kuwait, the wise leadership’s best wishes for him with good health and happiness, and for the brotherly State of Kuwait and its people with further progress and prosperity. Shaikh Mubarak also conveyed a message from HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to his brother the Amir of Kuwait relating to the strong brotherly and distinctive relations existing between the two countries and issues of common interests.
BDF Commander-in-Chief meets with Kuwaiti Ambassador in Bahrain.
BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met yesterday in his office in the BDF Headquarters with the Kuwaiti Ambassador in Bahrain Sheikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al-Sabah. During their meeting, the two sides reviewed solid and excellent existing bilateral relations between both brotherly countries and peoples and the increasingly growing progressive relations thanks to the wise leaderships of both countries. Also, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed.

Bahrain launches $1.5bn 10-year bond.
The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announced the launch of the latest development bond issuance of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initial size of the bond offering was USD 1.5 Billion, which was oversubscribed by over 400%. The bond, Bahrain's first conventional issue since 2010, was launched at a spread of 437.5 basis points over midswaps; earlier guidance had signaled the deal would price between that level and 450 bps over midswaps. JP Morgan, Citigroup, Gulf International Bank and Standard Chartered are lead arrangers on the deal, which will price later.
Major regional aviation conference kicks off in Manama.
A major regional aviation security forum is being hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period 27-28 June 2012. The Conference is taking part at the Movenpick Hotel (Bahrain) with participation of delegations from 12 countries. The event is organized by the Civil Aviation Affairs in the Ministry of Transportation in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The Civil Aviation Affairs Undersecretary Captain, Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Gauod, expressed his utmost gratitude to the Kingdom’s wise leadership for their support and assistance to the Civil Aviation sector in the Kingdom, citing a recently passed cabinet resolution for the creation of the National Commission for Aviation Security presided over by the Minister of Transportation.

HM King Hamad Receives Education Minister.
HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received yesterday, at Al-Safriya Palace, Minister of Education Dr. Majid Ali Al-Nuaimi and school development specialists. Updated on planned educational projects, HM the King lauded officials for their strenuous efforts to promote quality education and enhance graduates’ standard academic standard, taking into account labour market needs. HM took pride in Bahrain’s human resources, describing them as the cornerstone of sustained development.
Manama ready to launch a campaign aimed at curbing motorcars' emissions.
The deputy governor of the Capital Governorate, Ali Ibn Al-Sheikh Abdulhussain Al-Asfoor, chaired a coordinative meeting convened in Manama City Hall yesterday in order to make prearrangements for a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at lowering motorcars' exhaust emissions, the prime source of pollution in the Capital Governorate. The meeting is in association with the Environmental Control Department marking the occasion of the International Day for the Environment 2012.
V. Other News:
Bahrain orders probe into the import of infected animals.
HRH Premier’s Court ordered the urgent launch of an inquiry probe investigating the issue of how an infected shipment of cattle from Djibouti had been allowed entry to Bahrain. Health reports say that they have fears that the shipment was infected with foot-and-mouth disease and tuberculosis. Possible irregularities surrounding the entry of the suspicious shipment without examination to ensure its safety will also be investigated.
