In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Embassy of the Philippines in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted a reception with other resident ASEAN Embassies at the Gulf Convention Centre on 14 November 2017. The five (5) ASEAN Nations in Bahrain are Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. The night started off with speech by Ambassador Alfonso A Ver of the Philippines, cake cutting ceremony by the VVIPs and continued with fashion show of traditional costumes, participated by the community. There are also country booths set-up for the guests to have a glimpse of ASEAN at the pre-event area.
