H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Shazryll Zahiran paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Diana Abdul Karim Al-Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain on 26 October 2025. During the meeting, both parties discussed a range of matters aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the education sector. H.E. Dr Diana emphasised her interest in fostering greater university-to-university collaboration between Malaysia and Bahrain, including student exchange programmes, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building activities in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Dato’ Shazryll reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to facilitating these initiatives and expressed his anticipation of strengthening ties with the Higher Education Council. Both parties agreed to continue engaging closely to identify specific programmes and initiatives that would mutually benefit students, researchers, and academic institutions in both countries.
