On 28 July 2018, the Ambassador and home-based staff at the Malaysia Embassy in Manama hosted a lunch for the cultural troupe of the Johor Heritage Foundation (YWJ). They have been in Manama for a week to perform at the Bahrain Summer Festival, besides conducting a zapin dance class. The 13 member group was led by Hj. Shahrin Rahmat, Director of YWJ.
