The Malaysian Universities Alumni Club was launched on 5 March 2018 at the Wyndham Garden Hotel. About 30 alumni graduated from Malaysian Universities such as International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Multimedia University (MMU) etc attended the event. The club was initiated by Prof. Sutan Emir Hidayat of the Bahrain University College. Elections of the committee members for club was also done on the same day with Mr Ahmed Sameikh, Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) of the Embassy chosen as the president of the club.
