HM the King visits Japan on April 11th.
The Royal Court has yesterday announced that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will visit Japan on April 11th –13th at the invitation of Japan's Emperor Akihito. HM the King will explore ways of further promoting bilateral relations with Japan's Emperor, PM Yoshihiko Noda and a number of Japanese officials. The visit will also include reviewing the latest developments in the region and discussing issues of mutual concern and ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation in the industrial, economic, trade, educational and communication fields.
HRH the Crown Prince: emphasizes that all components of the Bahraini community condemns acts of violence.
Upon receiving U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain Mr. Thomas Krajeski His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, emphasized that all components of the Bahraini community condemns acts of violence which is an intrusive behavior in our community and which has no connection with our good-natured people and asserted that the international community and humanitarian values do condemn violence as well acts of sabotage that violate human rights and the dignity of all humankind. HRH the Crown Prince asserted that safety is the foundation for continuity of development projects of interest to all members of our community, and that Bahrain is intent on implementing various development projects for the welfare of Bahraini citizens.

The Supreme Judiciary Council announced yesterday that the provisions of Criminal Procedures Law stipulating the handing over of accused and convicted persons to foreign countries does not pertain to the case of Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja. It is worthy to mention, however, that Bahrain’s Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has received before a written message from his Danish counterpart Villy Sovndal in which he requested transferring Abdul Hadi Al Khawajah, a Bahraini- Danish HR Activist, to Denmark in order be receiving the urgent proper medical treatment after having had gone through a 60 days hunger strike in prison. Shaikh Khalid on the other hand has referred that case to the Supreme Judiciary looking for judgments.
III. Economic, Trade, Business:

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa chaired yesterday, at the Gudaibiya Palace, the Cabinet regular weekly meeting. And as part of its efforts to combat using money collected by fake and unlicensed companies, the cabinet endorsed a draft law imposing a prison sentence on anyone who collects funds from other parties with the aim of investing them without being licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain or other authorized sides and a minimum of BD100,000 fine. Other issues of important discussed were also how to remove all obstacles related to entry and visa procedures of businessmen, investors and tourists coming into Bahrain through its different exits, especially the Bahrain International Airport.
BCCI forms a probe committee to look into accusations directed to Mr. Al-Lingawi.
Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) have yesterday formed a committee to look into the several accusations pointed at the Chief Executive Mr. Ibrahim Al-Lingawi. Mr. Lingawi has been accused by some members of the Chamber of practicing irregularities and corruption. On the same context and during a meeting held by it, the Chamber has yesterday witnessed the reinstatement of two of its major members sacked during the 2011 unrest and that actually inflame a heated debate. All in all, Mr. Adel Al ali and Mr. Abdali Al Daissi are reinstated as BCCI members.
IV. Social, Culture, Tourism:
Bab Al Bahrain to be revamped.
The Ministry of Culture started work on revamping Bab Al Bahrain monument, which is one of the most important initiatives, in the frame of Manama Capital of Arab Culture 2012. This initiative aims to point out the importance of Bab Al Bahrain as the central and model square in the Capital Manama. This programme will revive the glory of Bab Al Bahrain, and bring back its original image dating back to 1949, with some modern touches. The passage of cars will be enhanced under the arch, which was the gate of the historical Manama Souq.
V. Other News:
2nd Joint Military Exercise by the Royal BDF's and the U.S. Task Force launched yesterday.
The events of the 2nd Joint (In-Heart Fury '012) Military Exercise implemented by the Royal BDF's Special Force and the U.S. Task Force has been launched yesterday (Sunday 8 April 2012) and expected to last until 15 May 2012. The exercise comes as part of a series of regular drills implemented by both friendly forces since 1992 for the sake of realizing liaison, cooperation, integration, exchanging of military expertise and boosting the level of combat readiness.
VI. Photo of the Day:
* HRH the Crown Prince received yesterday in the Riffa Palace Pakistani religious scholar and chairman of the Central Ahl-u-Al-Hadith Society's Professor Sajid Mir. Prince Salman slamed provocative rhetoric and noted that Islam exhorts Tolerance and Co-existence.
