Synthesis Fashion Show: Pertemuan Budaya Bahrain dan Malaysia

Bersempena ulang tahun ke-45 hubungan diplomatik Malaysia-Bahrain, Kedutaan Besar Malaysia dan Royal University for Women (RUW) telah mengadakan Synthesis Fashion Show pada Khamis, 5 Disember 2019 bertempat di Bahrain Conference Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manama. Program adalah di bawah naungan TYT Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed AlKhalifa, Presiden, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).

Pertunjukan fesyen ini menggabungkan 5 koleksi: Budaya, Jalwa, Ubiquitous, Roots dan Panache. Koleksi ini menampilkan gabungan budaya dan tradisi Malaysia-Bahrain melalui rekaan dan tekstur pakaian. Malaysia menampilkan koleksi batik dan songket yang diketengahkan sebagai elemen utama dalam gabungan rekaan pakaian oleh para pelajar dari College of Art and Design, Royal University for Women.  

Pertunjukan fesyen ini telah dihadiri oleh para isteri diplomat, pensyarah RUW, pelajar dan ahli keluarga. Kedutaan amat berterima kasih kepada penaja utama pertunjukan ini iaitu Puan Lynne AlWazzan.

 

                  

 

Synthesis Fashion Show: Where Bahraini and Malaysian Cultures Meet

In conjunction with the 45th anniversary of Malaysia-Bahrain Diplomatic Relations, the Embassy of Malaysia and the Royal University for Women held Synthesis Fashion Show, on Thursday, December 5th, 2019, at the Bahrain Conference Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manama. This programme was under the patronage of Her Excellency Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed AlKhalifa, President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).

This fashion show featured 5 collections: Budaya, Jalwa, Ubiquitous, Roots and Panache. The collection combined Malaysia-Bahrain's fusion of cultures and traditions through design and textile. Malaysia showcased a collection of batik and songket featured as a key element designed by students of the Royal University for Women’s College of Art and Design.

The fashion show was attended by wives of diplomats, academics, students of RUW and family members. The main sponsor of the show was Mrs. Lynne AlWazzan, to whom the embassy was very thankful.
