Malawakil Brasilia hosted a reception in celebration of the 61st Anniversary of Malaysia’s National Day at the Residence of Malaysia on 13 September 2018. The reception was attended by approximately 250 guests made up of Government officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various ministries and agencies, members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives of international and regional organizations, members of the academia, representatives from the business community and media representatives. Malaysians residing in Brasilia also joined the celebrations. H.E. Ambassador Ary Quintella, Acting Undersecretary General for Asia and the Pacific was the guest of honour. The new Trade Commissioner based in Sao Paulo, Mr. Radihisham Ismail, Malaysia´s Honorary Consul in the State of Para Mr. Iderlon Azevedo, and Malaysia´s Honorary Consul in Belo Horizonte Mr. Osvaldo Luiz De Oliveira Barros were also present during the reception.
