Ambassador Sudha Devi joined the ASEAN Ambassadors/Head of Mission on a visit to the 68th Agricultural Exhibition and 28th International Livestock Exhibition in Goiania, State of Goias on 16 May 2013. The visit was part of ASEAN Embassies activities to engage local authorities as a Group, while getting a first hand view on the livestock industry in the state of Goias.
The delegation was received by Mr. Antonio Flavio Camilo de Lima, State Secretary, Secretariat of Agriculture Livestock and Irrigation of the State. Present at the discussions were Mr. Pedro Alves de Oliveira, President of the Federation of Industries and Mr. Richardo Yano, President, Society for Livestock and Agriculture of the State of Goias.
The delegation was briefed on the agricultural and agro-business sectors of the state. Members also had the opportunity to witness a cattle auction.
