The ASEAN Flag was hoisting to the ASEAN Anthem at the Residence of the Ambassador of Indonesia on 8 August 2012 to mark the 45th Anniversary of ASEAN. Hosted by the seven Ambassadors/Head of Mission of ASEAN Member States represented in Brasilia (Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam), it was witnessed by all HBS and family of ASEAN Embassies with invitees from the Ministry of External Affairs and other guests. This was followed by the cutting of a cake and an informal dinner.
Ambassador of Malaysia Dato’ Sudha Devi delivered the remarks on behalf of the ASEAN Ambassadors` Group in Brasilia while Ambassador Francisco Mauro de Holanda, Director of the Department of East Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Brazil delivered some remarks.
