On Monday, 13 January 2012, Lieutenant-Colonel Gilda Alves Batista, Commander of Batalhao Rio Branco in Brasília called Ambassador Dato´ Sudha Devi. The Battalion has very special mission of providing policing and security to the members of the Diplomatic Community and International Organizations in Brasília. Besides the regular policing, the Battalion is also responsible for providing security to numerous events of the Diplomatic Corps on National Day celebrations and other commemorative dates.
Ambassador Dato´ Sudha Devi congratulated the Commander on her promotion to the post and both sides took the opportunity to exchange views on the general security situation in Brasília.
