On 18 October 2017, His Excellency Datuk Lim Juay Jin paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ambassador Marcos Bezerra Abbot Galvão, Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil to present a copy of the Letter of Credence. Datuk Ambassador was received by Minister Joao Mendes, the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry.
The call was also attended by Ambassador Georges Lamazière, Undersecretary General for Asia and the Pacific; Counsellor José Roberto, Special Officer of the Secretary General; Mr. Clelio Crippa, Acting Head of the Department of East Asia; and Mr. Márcio G. Taschetto Porto, First Secretary Division of ASEAN and East Timor. Ms. Norliyana Alias, First Secretary Embassy of Malaysia in Brasilia was also in attendance.
During the courtesy call, Sec Gen Marcos and Datuk Ambassador discussed mainly on furthering and strengthening the bilateral and economic cooperation between Malaysia and Brazil.
