Embassy of Malaysia Holds National Day Reception in Brasilia, 12 September 2012

The National Day Reception, held at Rumah Malaysia on 15 September 2012, was attended by more than 200 guests from the Diplomatic Corps, Brazilian Government and private sector, media, friends of Malaysia and Malaysian community. In her welcome remarks, H.E. Dato’ Sudha Devi touched on the Malaysian economy, supported by the Economic and Government Transformation Programmes introduced two years ago. Among others, she also touched on the launch of the Tun Razak Exchange and the potential for Islamic Banking.

In her speech, Dato’ Sudha Devi also acknowledged the close ties between Malaysia and Brazil as the two nations have enjoyed increased trade and cross investments. Dato’ Sudha Devi underscored the great potential for further enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.
Guests were treated to a variety of Malaysian cuisine including Dalcha; Fried Noodles; Ayam Masak Merah; Daging Masak Rempah; Acar; Popiah; Kuih Sago and Apam Gula Hangus.
