As part of the Government`s efforts priority to reach out to all Malaysians abroad, the Embassy of Malaysia hosted a get-together dinner with the Malaysian community in Sao Paulo on the evening of 8 June 2013. Several Malaysians from Rio de Janeiro also attended the function.
In the short remarks, the Ambassador of Malaysia took the opportunity to highlight recent developments in Malaysia and Government policies to move the country towards achieving a high-income nation status. She also urged Malaysians to keep in touch with the Embassy in Brasilia and/or the MATRADE Office in Sao Paolo. For many of them, it was an occasion to meet fellow Malaysians, and for some it was for the first time, since they are located away from the city centre.
