H.E Ambassador Dato’ Mohd Zulkephli Mohd Noor attended the Swiss Re Annual Global Risk Briefing for Ambassadors accredited to Switzerland on 4th March 2015, Ruschlikon, Zurich. The Swiss Re Group is a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and insurance-based forms of risk transfer.
The 2015 Global Risk Briefing was hosted by Mr Martyn Parker, Chairman Global Partnerships with main theme “Unlocking growth potential and building resilience in a fragile and interconnected world”. Among risk management issues and strategies discussed were effect of climate change, natural disasters, infrastructure, urbanisation, cyber-attacks, food security, pandemics and mortality gap. The briefing provided the opportunity to engage in a dialogue on way governments could develop a systematic approach in a public-private partnerships to cope with the challenges of managing large risks catastrophes in the wake of depressed public sector finances.
