The Embassy of Malaysia in Berne organized a briefing for Malaysian professionals working in Switzerland on the Returning Expert Programme (REP) on Saturday, 31 March 2012 at the Hotel Novotel in Berne. The briefing was given by H.E. Dato’ Ho May Yong, Ambassador of Malaysia to Switzerland.
The briefing provided information on the REP, an initiative taken by the Government of Malaysia to attract and facilitate the return of Malaysian professionals who are presently working overseas. This is to overcome the shortage of professional and technical expertise in the country as we strive to create a world class workforce to support the Economic Transformation Programme. The REP is administered by Talent Corporation, which was established to address the talent needs of the country as it moves forward to achieve an advanced economy status by 2020.
The briefing was followed by a Q&A session and lunch.
