H.E Dato’ Ho May Yong, Ambassador of Malaysia to Switzerland hosted a lunch on 24 August 2013 to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Malaysians in Switzerland. The event was held at Rumah Malaysia in Bern. Despite the rain, the turnout was very good with 220 Malaysians and Swiss guests gathering to celebrate the joyous occasion. The wet weather did not dampen the festive mood as the guests continued to mingle and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Malaysians and Swiss guests.
In her speech, Dato’ Ho took the opportunity to inform the guests of current developments in Malaysia as well as Malaysia’s initiatives at the international level.
Traditional favourites such as nasi tomato, ayam masak merah, kari daging, lemang, rending daging, nasi himpit, lodeh, kuah kacang and a variety of desserts were served.
