H.E Dato’ Mohd Zulkephli Mohd Noor presented his credentials of his appointment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Switzerland to H.E Didier Burkhalter, President of Switzerland on 17 March 2014 at the Federal Palace, Berne.
After presenting the credentials, the Ambassador and President Didier Burkhalter had a discussion covering an array of issues, namely bilateral economic cooperation between Malaysia and Switzerland, Malaysia’s candidatures to international organizations, Malaysia’s mediation efforts as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, including ASEAN.
President Didier Burkhalter also expressed his sympathy to the Malaysian Government on the MH370 incident and offered Switzerland’s assistance. The Ambassador took the opportunity to express Malaysia’s commitment to further expand bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries which was also shared by President Didier Burkhalter.
