MALAYSIA FOOD WEEK, 16 – 19 OCTOBER 2008

The Malaysian Food Week was held at the Frankfurt Hilton Hotel on October 16 – 19, 2008.  With the support of Malaysian Airlines, Chef Ismail Ahmad was flown into Frankfurt to head the Hilton’s preparation of the Malaysian delicacies.  Among the dishes that were showcased was the famous Malay Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak Daun Pisang, Mee Goreng Mamak, Cucur Udang and Kuih Ketayap.  The launching of the Food Week was officiated by H.E. Datuk Zakaria Sulong, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany on 15 October 2008 at the hotel.  Some 150 local and Malaysian dignitaries attended the launching ceremony.
