In effort to boost the existing warm and cordial bilateral ties between Malaysia and Algeria to a firmer foundation, H.E. Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, the Ambassador, made a courtesy call on H.E. Noureddine Yazid ZERHOUNI, Deputy Prime Minister of Algeria, at his office recently.
Besides congratulating the Deputy Prime Minister on his appointment to the newly created post by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the Malaysian Ambassador, briefed the Deputy Prime Minister of the latest developments in bilateral relations including the forthcoming visits of YB Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin, the Malaysian Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities to Algeria from the 26-29 September, 2010, the Malaysia-Algeria Business Council (Protem) from 26 September - 2 October, 2010 and the proposed visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia to Algeria in early January, 2011.
