31 August 2018 mark the 61th anniversary of Malaysia's National Day (1957-2018). Independence Day serves as a reminder to all Malaysians to appreciate the tough fight our ancestors had fought and to educate the current generation about the spirit of Independence. This day is also known as Hari Merdeka in the Malay language. The Embassy of Malaysia in Algiers hosted a National Day celebration on 30st August 2018 to express our patriotism by decorating the Malaysian flag, Jalur Gemilang at the chancery building.
