The Embassy of Malaysia in Algiers expresses its profound sorrow on the demise of Tun Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, the 5th Prime Minister of Malaysia, who passed away on 14 April 2025.
A Book of Condolence was opened at the Embassy on 17 April 2025, and H.E. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State (National Community Abroad) of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid the tribute on behalf of the government of Algeria.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all diplomatic colleagues’ who were presence in honouring Tun Abdullah’s unwavering contributions to Malaysia and its people.

فتحت السفارة سجل تعازي يوم 17 أفريل 2025، وقدم معالي السيد سفيان شايب، كاتب الدولة (للجالية الوطنية بالخارج) بوزارة الخارجية الجزائرية، واجب العزاء نيابة عن الحكومة الجزائرية.
