Accompaning the Ambassador include Mr. Sehli Ismail, Mayor of Souk Tleta, Director General Hj. Abd. Rahman Marhaban, Director General Adjoint Mr. Sharifuddin b. Othman from Malakoff and representatives of its Singapore partner, Hyflux Company.
Malakoff has been involved in this project in Tlemcen since 2007. The plant is about 72% completed and is expected to supply 200,000m3/day of desalinated water to Algeria under a 25-year concession beginning early 2010.
