YBhg. Tuan Haji Isa bin Mansor, MPOB's Regional Manager for Africa, based in Cairo made a working visit to Algeria from 27 February to 10 March 2015. The purpose of the said visit was to expand Malaysia's palm oil trade with the oil-rich Republic. During his visit, YBhg. Tuan Haji Isa had the opportunity to meet with the prominent representatives from government agencies such as the National Chamber of Commerce (CACI), Institute of Standardization (IANOR) and the National Agency for the Development of Foreign Trade (ALGEX) of Algeria plus several other major companies that apply their trade in palm oil business. In 2014, total palm oil export from Malaysia to Algeria amounted to USD 7.179 million.
