The Ambassador of Malaysia to Spain, H.E. Haznah Md Hashim, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Diego Martinez Belio, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain.
The cordial and constructive meeting provided an opportunity to review the current state of Malaysia–Spain relations and to exchange views on ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Discussions covered a range of areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment, semiconductors, defence cooperation, cyber security and digital technologies, as well as prospects for future exchanges of high-level visits and bilateral consultations.
Both sides also reaffirmed the importance of upholding international law and maintaining dialogue with like-minded partners, reflecting the shared commitment of Malaysia and Spain to advancing a constructive bilateral relationship.
