Y.Bhg. Dato’ Naimun Ashakli Mohammad, Malaysia’s Ambassador to Spain hosted a dinner at the official residence to celebrate the graduation of three Malaysian students from one of the top universities in Spain, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) on 17 September 2009. The three students, Mr. Yeow Tee Seong, Ms. Hazariah Mohd. Noh and Mr. Gan Khong Wui had been in Madrid for approximately a year to complete their Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. The dinner was held in the evening of the convocation day itself and was also attended by the graduates’ family members.
Mr. Ruzlan Abdul Malek, the Education Consul in Malaysia’s Consulate General Office in Frankfurt, Germany who attended the convocation was also present at the dinner. He mentioned that the success of the three students in completing their studies here will be the beginning for Malaysia to send more students to UPM in 2010. Currently, there is one Malaysian student who has just started her study in the same University last month.
