H.E. Ambassador Haznah paid an official visit to the Naval Museum in Madrid today, an institution dedicated to the history of the Spanish Navy since the 15th century and a repository of artefacts documenting global maritime exchange.
During the visit, the Ambassador had the opportunity to see the 'Parao' - a historic Malay maritime vessel on display, reflecting centuries of shared maritime heritage and cultural exchange between Spain and Southeast Asia.
Ambassador Haznah also held a brief engagement with the Admiral Gonzalo Alisedo, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy, reaffirming the strong ties and mutual respect between our naval institutions.
This engagement underscores the longstanding historical relations between Spain and Malaysia including in seafaring, exploration, and intercultural connections. This also reflects our commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across sectors including cultural and defence-related arenas.
