Effective 24 September 2020, foreign nationals that enter Malaysia, including Malaysian Permanent Residents will be required to pay the full cost for the quarantine.
The full quarantine cost amounting RM4,700 must be paid to the Ministry of Health Malaysia officials at the entry point upon arrival in Malaysia.
Individuals will be issued a receipt, which is needed for the check-in process at designated quarantine stations.
The charges for foreign nationals are as follows:
a) Fixed charge (Quarantine Centre Operations) - RM2,600;
b) Accommodation cost for the first individual - RM150/per night; and
c) Accommodation cost for the second and third individuals which are allowed to share a room with first individuals (e.g. Spouse, children below 12 and others. Children below the age of 6 will not be charged for accommodation) - RM50/per night
Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) pass holders as well as individuals who are allowed to undergo home quarantine are exempted from these quarantine charges.
