On 26 March 2026, H.E. Ambassador Haznah Md Hashim held a productive engagement with Mr. Pablo Gómez Falcón, President of the Energy Commission of the Confederación de Empresarios de Sevilla (CES), in Seville. Discussions focused on enhancing Malaysia-Spain economic collaboration in renewable energy, semiconductors, and aerospace. Malaysia’s semiconductor back-end strengths were highlighted as complementary to Spain’s design expertise, alongside promising opportunities within Seville’s aerospace ecosystem.
This engagement reflects growing interest from the Andalusian business community to expand into Southeast Asia, aligned with Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030.
