Consular Affairs
The High Commission provides assistance to Malaysian Citizens through its Consular Services.
Services offered are -
1. Registration of Malaysian Citizen residing/visiting
2. Birth Registration Certificate
3. Report of Missing Malaysian Citizen
4. Death Registration
5. Detention of Malaysian Citizen by Local Authority
6. Visa Application
7. Marriage Registration
8. Application, Renewal and Lost of Travel
Document/Passport
9. Voter Registration
10. Other consular related services
The High Commission also issues visas and deal with other documents (e.g. certification, travel and immigration information) pertaining to
1. LOSS OF MALAYSIAN INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT
Report of lost passport must be made immediately at:

Documents to be submitted:-
i. Police report with English translation
ii. Malaysian Birth Certificate (original and 2 photocopies)
iii. Malaysian Identity Card (original and 2 photocopies)
iv. Proof of work permit-only applicable if holder of lost passport is working in
v. Letter from the employer in English- only applicable if holder of lost passport is working in
vi. Proof of residence permit in English (original and 2 photocopies)
vii. 4 recent coloured passport size photo (3.5.x 5.0 cm)
viii. Copy of lost passport (if available)
ix. Letter from University in English( applicable only if holder of lost passport is a student))
2. APPLICATION FOR EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE

i. 1 copy of Passport Application Form ( IM.42-Pin. 1/97)- can downloaded at www.imi.gov.my
ii. Birth Certificate (Original and photocopy)
iii. Identity Card (original and photocopy)
iv. 3 recent coloured passport size photo (3.5 cm x 5.0 cm)
v. Fee: RM50.00. It is payable in local currency equivalent to that amount.

i. 2 copies of Application Form of Borang K JPN (Perkara 23-Kaedah 36)
ii. Malaysian Passport (original and 2 photocopies)
iii. Malaysian Identity Card (original and 2 photocopies)
iv. Malaysian Birth Certificate (original and 2 photocopies)
v. Proof of Malaysian Citizenship (if any)
vi. 3 Coloured Photographs (passport size)
vii. Letter of Naturalisation with English translation by a certified translator (original and 2 photocopies)
viii. Fee: RM 10.00. It is payable in local currency equivalent to that amount
