INSTRUCTIONS FOR VISA AT THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA IN CONAKRY, GUINEA
FOR VISITORS / BUSINESS PERSONS ONLY
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid passport
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- Covid -19 vaccination certificate
- Two (2) recent passport-sized photos
- Ticket and accommodation booking / information on place of residence in Malaysia
- Employer letter (for business persons)
- Your residence status (for nationals of countries other than Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire and Sierra Leone but having residency status in any of those countries)
- Fee: GNF 50,000 (in cash only)
- Make an appointment by calling (+224) 622 66 78 79
Other necessary & additional documents (where applicable):
- Formal invitation letter from family/friend living in Malaysia/ inviting company
- His/her copy of passport/identity card/work permit/marriage certificate (if applicable)
Please make a copy of all of the above, failing to do so may lead the rejection of the visa application
(Please note):
- Passport must be at least six (6) months valid beyond the period of stay required in Malaysia
- An interview may be required for applicants
- The visa process will take a minimum of three (3) working days
- Visa granted is not an absolute guarantee that the holder will be allowed to enter Malaysia. The final decision is by the Immigration Officer at the entry point.
- The Embassy of Malaysia in Conakry will not be responsible for any loss of fund or money while applying for visa.

- Offer Letter from the University;
- EMGS Approval Letter;
- Visa Approval Letter from the Malaysia's Immigration Department (eVAL);
- Tentative / confirmed flight booking;
- A valid passport (with not less than 6 months before date of expiry)
- 2 passport-sized photos;
- Covid -19 vaccination certificate;
- Yellow fever vaccination certificate;
- Single-entry visa fee GNF 50,000.00 (in cash only);
- Make an appointment by calling (+224) 622 66 78 79

1. | All Visitors MUST ENTER Malaysia through Airports only. | |
2. | Visitors MUST obtain Visa Without Reference or Visa With Reference at the nearest Malaysian Embassies / Consulates before entering Malaysia. | |
3. | Exemption of visa is given to nationals of African countries as listed in Para 3.1 above, who visits Malaysia under the sponsorship of the Government or as a guest of the Government. The period of stay approved will be based on the period required to achieve the purpose of the visit as a government sponsored visitor or guest. Proof of sponsorship or invitation as a guest of the Government should be produced to the Immigration Officer at the point of entry. | |
4. | i- Conditions for Visa Without Reference (VWTR): | |
| a) | Posses confirm air ticket back to country of origin or current residing country or posses visa and confirm air ticket to country of onward destination. |
| b) | Visitors will be given a maximum 14 days stay with no extension allowed or much shorter period of stay for those who are on transit before continuing their onward journey. |
ii- Conditions for Visa With Reference (VWR): | ||
a) | This visa is issued for those traveling on business or investment only. | |
| b) | Trip MUST be sponsored by a local high level individual or a local business company which invites them to Malaysia (the sponsoring company need to be well established and is required to submit copies of Form 9, 24 and 49 to the Immigration Department of Malaysia). |
| c) | The sponsor MUST deposit RM 2000.00 per person to the Immigration Department of Malaysia as a security deposit. |
| d) | Visitors will be given a maximum 30 days of stay with no extension allowed. |
