The Consul General of Malaysia in Mumbai, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah attended the pre-opening launch of the KFC Malaysia's first outlet in India in Pune on 24 April 2010.
KFC Malaysia Holding, which was awarded the francise to open outlets in Maharashtra, is expected to open two more outlets in Mumbai in July and September. According to Hezal Ahmad, CEO of KFC (Malaysia) in India, the KFC Malaysia would open more than 10 outlets in two years period involving also other cities in Mahatrshtra like Aurangabad and Nashik.
The Pune outlet will begin its operation on 29 April 2010.
