EIDUL ADHA IN MUMBAI

 The Malaysian Muslim community in Mumbai celebrated Eidul Adha on 28 November 2008 with Takbir, Eid Prayers and Brunch at the residence of the Consul General.

Some 35 Muslim families gathered for Eid Prayers which began with takbir. The Consul (Trade) Noraslan Hadi Abdul Kadir led the Eid Prayers at about 9.30 a.m while the Consul General Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah delivered the Eid sermon.

 The traditional Eid cuisines which include lemang, nasi himpit, ketupat were served to all present after the prayers. These cuisines were jointly prepared by Malaysian ladies in Mumbai.
